We were so excited to finally get to a beach again and what a beach it is. We are staying in a caravan park about 10 minutes walk from Cable Beach and this was our first look at the sea since Darwin.
We haven't done much at all since we got here. We checked out the Courthouse Markets, caught up with some friends who have moved here, and have done plenty of swimming in the pool. Charlie can now swim without floaties which is a bit scary to watch. He runs and jumps in just like his big brothers! Jack has done a bit of surfing.
Yesterday we went on a camel ride along Cable Beach. Very wobbly, not a comfortable ride but very enjoyable.

We then stayed on the beach to watch the sun go down with a couple of Mango Beers.
The kids had Hermit Crab races.
They have now adopted the Hermit Crabs and we bought a home and some food for them today. They are so desperate for a pet as they are missing Banjo heaps. Crabs aren't quite the same but they are enjoying looking after them.
Tonight we drove down onto the beach and took the BBQ. We had the most beautiful dinner and watched another sunset which was actually better than last night!
It is going to be very hard to leave!
