No itinerary and no idea

Hard to believe it is one more sleep until we go. Just trying to get everything packed now. We got a bit distracted today by the Panthers winning the Lightening Premiership (well done Jack and the Supercoach!) Hopefully we haven't forgotten anything. 

At this stage we are planning to head towards Mildura tomorrow then across to Renmark SA. But we have not made any definite plans and will spend our first night whenever we feel like stopping. (Although if the Premiership celebrations continue we may not make it very far at all.) As Rod Carr said to us today "You have no itinerary and no idea" so we will just go with the flow!

2 WEEKS TO GO

Here is a picture of the car that is going to take us half way around this enormous country. Makes us look like we know what we are doing!

4 weeks to go!!!

It is hard to believe it is only 4 weeks to go until we leave. This time next month we should be in Coober Pedy. I hope it has improved since I was last there in 1990. Those of you reading this who were on the same school trip will recall how unimpressed we all were! But as with a lot of our trip, we are doing this for the kids and I am sure they will be amazed as it will be nothing like they have ever seen before.

I am trying to get organized now and hoping I haven't forgotten to write anything important down on my numerous lists. Still have 4 weeks to get everything ready, there is a lot to think about.

I have to say that I am getting nervous about the trip but excited at the same time. It is a great opportunity for me to get my head around the idea of not planning everything and be more spontaneous! Time will tell!
